BY PLANE
The closest international airport is located in Alicante (code: ALC), 20km from Elche city centre, and has very good connections with major European cities.
For airport transfers to Elche city centre and hotels, you can use the lines 1A and 1B of the bus company SUBUS. Bus-stop at the airport located in the departures roadway. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes, and you should stop at:
- To hotel TRYP Ciudad de Elche, stop in MAHE Santa María
- To hotels Huerto del Cura and Jardín Milenio, stop in Plaza Rey Jaime I
- To hotel Ibis, stop in Avda. de Alicante (Anton Blasco)

Taxi service is also available from the airport to Elche city centre. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes from the airport to the hotels, and the fares are about 25€.
Please, for TU1105 COST Action members, and according to COST rules: Eligible participants are limited to use taxis only when no other means of public transport is available or for early departures (travel departure before 7 am) or late arrivals (travel arrival after 10 pm). The expense must always be justified.
BY TRAIN
There are two railway stations in Elche, but the closest to the hotels and conference venue is the Elche Parque – Elx Parc station.
To arrive by train to Elche from the main cities in Spain (Madrid, Valencia, Murcia,…) you have first to arrive to Alicante station, and then to take a local train to Elche (stop in Elche Parque – Elx Parc station). BY CAR
Elche is easily reached using the A-7 freeway (European Route E-15). The N-330 highway is another of the main routes for long-distance journeys, linking the centre of the peninsula with the province of Alicante. Also, the national roads N-332 and N-340, connect Elche with Alicante and Murcia.
